It was 2007, in his early college years; Brandon had the vision to mobilize a group of talented young adults who were unashamed to promote the name of Jesus by any means necessary. This was the beginning of OneWay. Now, after 4 years in ministry together, Brandon Camphor & OneWay are still boldly proclaiming that we are the generation who can change the world. Their mission is to be an example of righteous living to their generation.
Under the leadership of 2012 GMA Dove Award Nominated singer, songwriter, & producer Brandon Camphor, OneWay is comprised of an eclectic group of singers Angela Jones, Julia McMillan, and Fred Cleveland; and musicians Joshua Davies, Jerome Baylor, and Larry Mack. While Brandon currently serves as the Young Adult Worship Leader at Hope Christian Church (Bishop Harry R. Jackson) in Beltsville, MD each group member is a music leader in their own right at their respective churches. Since the release of their debut album in 2009 the group has proven to be one to pay attention to. Brandon Camphor and One Way are quickly evolving into future power players in the Kingdom. With a message like “we can CHANGE THE WORLD” they’re bound to gain new followers everywhere that they go! Their dynamic and refreshing Urban/Inspirational sound peaks the interest of ears from all walks of life.
Their travels have taken them all over the country, airwaves, and there is no sign of them slowing down now. On December 30, 2007 Brandon Camphor started, The Encounter in MD. The Encounter is a night for young adults of all cultures and backgrounds to be inspired, equipped, and influenced by the Word of God to make a difference in their generation. To date, The Encounter is in it’s 4th year and is still impacting over 400 young adults monthly in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Along with the Encounter, Brandon Camphor was the visionary of another event, Jesus Rock: Live It Loud, a college tour which has partnered with other artists such as Tye Tribbett, Kierra Sheard, Mali Music, Group1Crew, Leah Smith and many others to promote righteous living.
Along with their own established events they have had many opportunities to take part in monumental events including the annual July 4th Christ On the Mall Celebration in DC which attracts thousand yearly and also recently were announced the 2011 winners of the Most Powerful Voices Competition presented by Music World Gospel and Gospel Music Channel. As winners of this competition they performed at the 2011 Power Awards In New York, which aired nationally on GMC and were featured on the Nationally released Most Powerful Voices Compilation Vol. 1 CD featuring Kim Burrell, Trinitee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, and more.
They released their first full-length album “ReGeneration” on September 9, 2009 featuring the popular singles “It’s Possible (Gotta Have Faith)” and “Bless the Lord,” which was later re-recoded by Myron Butler on his project “Worship.” Their latest offering entitled, “You Are God” was released in August 2012 with Music World Gospel. They are now working on completing their second full length LP. Making their mark and giving reason to be heard, I present to you: Brandon Camphor & OneWay.
